Published: 10/14/2026 (10/14/2026, 14:16:55 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: nullclaw
Product: NullHub

Description

NullHub versions up to and including 2026.5.29 have a critical missing authentication vulnerability. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to access the /api/* management API because the auth_token field defaults to null and is never assigned. Exploiting this, attackers can control agent instances, modify configurations including provider credentials, and manage cron jobs and MCP servers without any authorization.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-110616 describes a missing authentication vulnerability in nullclaw's NullHub product through version 2026.5.29. The vulnerability arises because the auth_token field defaults to null and is never properly assigned, allowing unauthenticated access to the /api/* management API endpoints. Attackers sending requests without Authorization or Origin headers to non-loopback listeners can fully control agent instances, rewrite critical configurations including provider credentials, and manage scheduled tasks and MCP servers. The vulnerability has a CVSS 4.0 score of 9.2, indicating critical severity.

Potential Impact

Unauthenticated attackers can gain full control over NullHub agent instances and management functions, including rewriting configurations and managing cron jobs and MCP servers. This could lead to complete compromise of the affected system's management capabilities and exposure of sensitive credentials.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict network access to the /api/* management API to trusted hosts only and monitor for unauthorized access attempts.
