Users should upgrade beyond version 4.5.16 once a fix is released. Until then, restrict subscriber-level access and avoid using themes or plugins that register the Redux import_export field on user profiles. Monitor vendor advisories for updates and apply official patches promptly when available.
Description
The Redux Framework WordPress plugin up to version 4.5.16 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability. Authenticated users with subscriber-level access or higher can export the entire Redux options panel configuration, including sensitive data such as API keys and credentials. This occurs because the plugin does not properly verify user authorization when exporting data. Exploitation requires a theme or plugin to register a Redux import_export field on a user profile, exposing a nonce in the subscriber's profile page source.
