CVE-2026-111178: CWE-89 Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection') in murgroland WP Booking System – Booking Calendar
Description
The WP Booking System – Booking Calendar plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to generic SQL Injection via the 'data[orderby]' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.0.1 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. Exploitation requires the targeted calendar to have more than 200 bookings, as the orderby value is only forwarded to the database layer when the AJAX handler takes the use_ajax branch; an Administrator can satisfy this condition by creating bookings directly.

Technical Analysis
CVE-2026-111178 is an SQL Injection vulnerability in the WP Booking System – Booking Calendar plugin for WordPress affecting all versions up to and including 2.1.0.1. The issue arises from improper neutralization of special elements in the 'data[orderby]' parameter, which is insufficiently escaped and concatenated into SQL queries without proper preparation. This enables authenticated administrators to append arbitrary SQL commands, potentially extracting sensitive data. The vulnerability is triggered only when the targeted calendar has over 200 bookings, as the vulnerable code path is executed in the AJAX handler's use_ajax branch under this condition.
Potential Impact
An attacker with administrator privileges can exploit this vulnerability to perform SQL Injection attacks, allowing unauthorized reading of sensitive information from the database. The vulnerability does not affect integrity or availability directly but compromises confidentiality. Exploitation requires authenticated access and a calendar with more than 200 bookings.
Mitigation Recommendations
No official patch or fix is currently documented. Administrators should limit access to trusted users only and avoid creating calendars with more than 200 bookings until a fix is available. Monitor vendor advisories for updates. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance.
