Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: ValueCell-ai
Product: ValueCell

Description

ValueCell versions up to 0.1.20 have an unauthenticated server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability. This flaw allows remote attackers to manipulate backend requests by setting an unvalidated provider base_url via the provider config endpoint. Exploitation can lead to attackers accessing internal or metadata addresses, reading error responses, and capturing stored provider API keys. The vulnerability has a CVSS 4.0 score of 6.9, indicating medium severity.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-111320 is an SSRF vulnerability in ValueCell through version 0.1.20. Attackers can set the provider base_url without authentication through the provider config endpoint. By triggering POST /api/v1/models/check, attackers can cause the backend to make requests to arbitrary internal or metadata endpoints. This can expose sensitive information such as error responses and stored provider API keys. The vulnerability is remotely exploitable without privileges or user interaction.

Potential Impact

An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this SSRF vulnerability to direct backend requests to internal or metadata services, potentially exposing sensitive information including stored API keys. This can lead to unauthorized access to internal resources and compromise of provider credentials.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict access to the provider config endpoint and monitor for suspicious requests attempting to set the base_url. Avoid exposing internal metadata endpoints to the application backend.
