Published: 10/15/2026 (10/15/2026, 21:43:31 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: coleam00
Product: Archon

Description

Archon versions 0.2.13 through 0.11.1 have a critical missing authentication vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to access the control API at /api/*. This API binds to all network interfaces by default, enabling attackers with network access to send commands to the AI coding agent running with elevated permissions, potentially executing arbitrary commands as the Archon user.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-111322 describes a missing authentication vulnerability in coleam00 Archon versions 0.2.13 through 0.11.1. The vulnerability allows unauthenticated remote attackers to access the /api/* control API, which listens on 0.0.0.0 by default. Through this API, attackers can send messages to an AI coding agent running with bypassPermissions, enabling command execution on the host as the Archon user. The CVSS 4.0 score is 9.3 (critical), reflecting network attack vector, no required privileges or user interaction, and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Potential Impact

An attacker with network access can execute arbitrary commands on the host system as the Archon user without authentication. This compromises system confidentiality, integrity, and availability, potentially leading to full system compromise or unauthorized control over the AI coding agent.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict network access to the /api/* control API, for example by firewalling or network segmentation, to prevent unauthenticated access. Monitor for unusual activity related to the Archon service.
