Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-111364 describes an insecure direct object reference (IDOR) vulnerability in MinDoc through version 2.2-beta.2 within the DocumentController.Content component. Authenticated users who hold any role other than observer on a book can specify the book name and sequentially iterate document IDs to access content from private books they are not authorized to view. This bypasses intended access controls and exposes potentially sensitive document content.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows unauthorized reading of private book documents by authenticated users with limited privileges, potentially exposing sensitive markdown and HTML content. This can lead to information disclosure within the affected MinDoc installations.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict user roles carefully and monitor access to sensitive documents to reduce risk.
