Technical Analysis
CVE-2026-111390 describes an HQL injection vulnerability in Erupt through version 2.3.0. Authenticated users with query permissions on entities that have String-keyed linkTree targets can exploit this flaw by injecting unescaped quotes into the linkTreeVal parameter of the POST /erupt-api/data/table/{erupt} endpoint. This injection allows bypassing of tree-scoped data filters by appending always-true OR clauses or boolean subqueries, potentially exposing data from other mapped entities.
Potential Impact
The vulnerability enables authenticated users with query permissions to bypass intended data access restrictions, potentially leading to unauthorized data disclosure from other mapped entities. The CVSS 4.0 score of 6 indicates a medium severity impact with network attack vector, low attack complexity, and partial privileges required.
Mitigation Recommendations
No patch or official fix information is provided in the available data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict query permissions to trusted users and monitor for suspicious use of the linkTreeVal parameter in API requests.
