AI-suggested

Upgrade the PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce plugin to version 5.16.5 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed. No other mitigation is required as the fix properly escapes customer-supplied input to prevent script injection.

Description

A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce WordPress plugin versions 5.16.2 through 5.16.4. The plugin fails to properly escape several customer-supplied order fields, including billing and shipping addresses and customer order notes, before outputting them in generated invoice and packing slip documents. This allows unauthenticated users placing guest orders to inject malicious scripts that execute when a shop administrator views the affected documents.
