Published: 10/16/2026 (10/16/2026, 18:34:44 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: 10up
Product: Distributor

Description

10up Distributor before 2.3.2 contains a PHP object injection vulnerability that allows Contributor-level users to instantiate PHP objects by double unserializing distributed post meta. Attackers can store a serialized PHP string as meta, which set_meta() in includes/utils.php unserializes on the destination site, storing attacker-defined objects whose impact depends on loaded gadget classes.

Technical Analysis

10up Distributor before version 2.3.2 contains a PHP object injection vulnerability due to double unserialization of distributed post meta. Contributor-level users can store serialized PHP strings as meta data, which the set_meta() function in includes/utils.php unserializes on the destination site. This process allows attackers to instantiate attacker-defined PHP objects, with the potential impact depending on the available gadget classes in the environment.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows Contributor-level users to instantiate arbitrary PHP objects on the destination site by exploiting double unserialization. The actual impact depends on the gadget classes loaded, which could lead to various attack outcomes. However, the CVSS score of 2.3 indicates the overall risk is low, and there are no known exploits in the wild.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in 10up Distributor version 2.3.2. Users should upgrade to version 2.3.2 or later to remediate this vulnerability. No additional vendor advisory content is provided, so check the vendor's official channels for patch details.
