AI-suggested

Until a fix is available, restrict authenticated viewer permissions to trusted users only and monitor access to the /getExternalResource endpoint for suspicious activity.

Description

Helical Insight versions up to and including 7.0.0 have a path traversal vulnerability in the /getExternalResource endpoint. Authenticated users can exploit this flaw by manipulating the path parameter to access files outside the intended solution directory. This allows reading of any readable file with allowed extensions such as js, json, or html, bypassing resource access controls.
