Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-111640 is an authorization bypass vulnerability in kuaifan's DooTask product, affecting versions up to and including 1.9.66. The vulnerability exists in the WebSocketDialog::checkDialog() method, which fails to enforce membership checks for dialogs where group_type is 'okr'. Authenticated users can exploit this by supplying the dialog_id of OKR comment dialogs to the msg__list, msg__one, or msg__send* endpoints, enabling unauthorized reading and injection of messages within those dialogs.

Potential Impact

Authenticated users can bypass intended access controls on OKR comment dialogs, allowing them to read messages they should not have access to and inject unauthorized messages. This could lead to information disclosure and unauthorized message manipulation within the affected dialogs.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict access to affected endpoints and monitor for suspicious activity related to OKR comment dialogs.
