Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-111645 describes a missing object-level authorization vulnerability in the ImportLocalDoc API of MrDoc through version 1.1.1. The vulnerability enables authenticated users to bypass authorization controls by manipulating user-controlled keys in API requests. Specifically, attackers can send PUT requests with arbitrary sort_data document IDs to publish private drafts and reparent documents, or POST requests with arbitrary top_doc IDs to inject documents into other users' projects. This flaw allows unauthorized modification of documents and projects belonging to other users.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows authenticated users to modify documents and projects owned by other users, including publishing private drafts and injecting documents. This can lead to unauthorized data manipulation and potential information disclosure within the affected application.

Mitigation Recommendations

No patch or official fix information is provided in the available data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to trusted authenticated users and monitor for suspicious API usage related to document modification.
