AI-suggested

Since the vulnerability affects Chaskiq versions up to 2.0.3, users should upgrade to a fixed version once available. Until then, restrict access to the /graphql endpoint to trusted users or networks and implement network-level controls to prevent the server from making unauthorized outbound requests. Monitor vendor advisories for official patches or updates.

Description

Chaskiq versions up to 2.0.3 have a critical server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the createUrlUpload GraphQL mutation. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to submit arbitrary URLs, including internal and cloud metadata endpoints, via POST requests to /graphql. The response content can then be retrieved through the returned ActiveStorage blob URL, potentially exposing sensitive internal data.
