Technical Analysis
The vulnerability in wimoor-erp's wimoor arises from improper authentication validation. Attackers bypass authentication by sending a crafted unsigned X-USERINFO header directly to backend service ports, circumventing the gateway. This spoofing allows attackers to forge company IDs and user types such as manager or admin, granting unauthorized access to sensitive tenant data including orders, finance information, and Amazon seller authorizations. The flaw is present in version 0 of the product as explicitly stated.
Potential Impact
Successful exploitation results in complete authentication bypass without requiring prior privileges or user interaction. Attackers can impersonate any tenant and escalate privileges to manager or admin levels, leading to unauthorized disclosure and modification of sensitive business data across tenants. This compromises confidentiality, integrity, and potentially availability of tenant data within the affected system.
Mitigation Recommendations
No patch or official fix information is provided in the available data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict direct access to backend service ports to prevent attackers from bypassing the gateway and sending spoofed headers.
