Technical Analysis
CVE-2026-111692 describes an authentication bypass vulnerability in DataBuff ai-apm-web (databuff) through version 0.1.10. The vulnerability arises from the use of a hardcoded HMAC secret key in the JwtTokenService component. This allows unauthenticated attackers to create forged admin session tokens by signing a payload with the default development secret, enabling unauthorized full administrative access to protected /webapi endpoints, including the Doris SQL query API.
Potential Impact
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to bypass authentication controls and gain full administrative privileges on the affected application. This includes access to sensitive API routes and the ability to execute potentially harmful SQL queries via the Doris SQL query API. The CVSS 4.0 score of 9.3 reflects the critical severity and the high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
Mitigation Recommendations
No patch or official fix information is provided in the available data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to the affected application and monitor for unauthorized access attempts. Avoid using default or hardcoded secrets in production environments.
