Published: 10/16/2026 (10/16/2026, 18:34:55 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: vastxie
Product: 99AI

Description

99AI through 4.3.0 contains an insecure direct object reference vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to read other users' chat messages because querySingleChat lacks an owner check. Attackers can send a fingerprint header to obtain a visitor JWT and iterate sequential chatId values to retrieve other users' message content and task data.

Technical Analysis

The vulnerability in 99AI through version 4.3.0 is an insecure direct object reference (IDOR) caused by the querySingleChat API function not verifying the ownership of requested chat messages. This flaw enables unauthenticated attackers to send a crafted fingerprint header to receive a visitor JWT token. Using this token, attackers can sequentially enumerate chatId values to retrieve other users' chat messages and associated task data without authorization.

Potential Impact

An attacker can access private chat messages and task data of other users without authentication or authorization. This exposure compromises user privacy and confidentiality of chat communications. The vulnerability has a CVSS 4.0 base score of 6.9 (medium severity), indicating a significant but not critical risk. There are no known exploits in the wild at this time.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to the querySingleChat API and monitor for unauthorized access attempts. Implement additional access control checks to verify chat message ownership before disclosure.
