CVE-2026-111721: Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key in jingsewu open-wes
Description
Open WES versions up to 1.0.0 have an authorization bypass vulnerability that allows authenticated users with menu permission to modify stock records of other warehouses. This occurs because the GlobalGatewayFilter does not enforce authorization scoping for warehouses, enabling attackers to enumerate sequential IDs on specific endpoints to freeze or unfreeze container stock in warehouses they should not control.

Technical Analysis
CVE-2026-111721 describes an authorization bypass vulnerability in jingsewu's Open WES product through version 1.0.0. The flaw arises from the GlobalGatewayFilter failing to enforce auth_warehouse scoping, which allows authenticated users holding the menu permission to enumerate sequential IDs on the freezeContainerStock and unfreezeContainerStock endpoints. Consequently, these users can freeze or unfreeze container stock in warehouses other than their own, bypassing intended access controls.
Potential Impact
Authenticated users with menu permission can manipulate stock records of warehouses they are not authorized to control, potentially disrupting inventory management and operations across multiple warehouses. The vulnerability does not require user interaction and has a medium severity rating with a CVSS 4.0 score of 5.3.
Mitigation Recommendations
No patch or official fix information is provided in the available data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict menu permission to trusted users only and monitor for unauthorized stock modification activities.
