Published: 10/19/2026 (10/19/2026, 13:55:06 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: locustio
Product: locust

Description

Locust versions up to 2.46.7 have a cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability that allows remote attackers to stop load tests or reset statistics by sending crafted GET requests to /stop and /stats/reset endpoints. This can disrupt ongoing performance testing and erase collected data if an operator is tricked into visiting a malicious webpage.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-111883 describes a CSRF vulnerability in locustio's locust software through version 2.46.7. The flaw permits unauthenticated remote attackers to perform state-changing actions—specifically stopping load tests and resetting statistics—via cross-site GET requests to the /stop and /stats/reset endpoints. An attacker can exploit this by enticing an operator to visit a malicious page that triggers these requests, resulting in termination of running swarms and loss of performance data.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation allows attackers to disrupt load testing operations by stopping active tests and erasing performance statistics without authentication. This can cause operational disruption and loss of valuable testing data, impacting reliability of performance assessments.

Mitigation Recommendations

No explicit patch or remediation information is provided in the input data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, operators should avoid visiting untrusted web pages while using vulnerable versions and consider implementing CSRF protections or access controls on the affected endpoints.
