Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-111937 describes a missing authorization vulnerability in Frappe CRM prior to version 1.81.2. Authenticated users with Sales User privileges can exploit absent permission hooks on frappe.client endpoints by filtering on the to_user parameter or invoking the mark_as_read function with another user's argument. This flaw enables unauthorized access to other users' CRM Notification records, including reading, marking as read, or deleting notifications without proper authorization.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows authenticated Sales Users to access and modify CRM Notification records of other users, potentially leading to unauthorized disclosure or manipulation of notification data within the CRM system. This could affect user privacy and the integrity of notification information.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in Frappe CRM version 1.81.2. Users should upgrade to version 1.81.2 or later to remediate this vulnerability. No additional mitigation guidance is provided by the vendor advisory.
