Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-111939 describes an authorization bypass vulnerability in Frappe Helpdesk prior to version 1.26.0. Authenticated portal users can exploit this flaw by supplying a manipulated 'raised_by' parameter to the hd_ticket.api.new endpoint, allowing them to create tickets impersonating other customers. Additionally, attackers can access victim replies through the get_ticket_activities endpoint, facilitating phishing attacks within the portal environment.

Potential Impact

An attacker with authenticated portal access can impersonate other customers by creating tickets on their behalf and reading their responses. This can lead to phishing attacks and unauthorized access to sensitive communication within the helpdesk portal. The vulnerability does not allow privilege escalation beyond the portal user level but compromises the integrity and confidentiality of ticket data.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in Frappe Helpdesk version 1.26.0. Users should upgrade to version 1.26.0 or later to remediate this authorization bypass vulnerability. No vendor advisory was provided, so check official Frappe channels for patch availability and further guidance.
