Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: TYPO3

Technical Analysis

The TYPO3 extension "sgalinski Cookie Consent" contains a missing authorization vulnerability (CWE-862) in routes that serve consent history and statistics data. These routes do not verify whether the authenticated backend user has access rights to the module or the requested page. Consequently, any authenticated backend user can retrieve consent data of any site in the TYPO3 installation, bypassing intended access controls. The vulnerability is assigned CVE-2026-112065 with a CVSS 4.0 base score of 5.3 (medium severity).

Potential Impact

An authenticated backend user with any level of permissions can access sensitive consent history and statistics data for all sites in the TYPO3 installation. This could lead to unauthorized disclosure of user consent information across sites managed by the same TYPO3 instance.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict backend user access to trusted personnel only and monitor for unusual access patterns to consent data modules.
