Description

CVE-2026-112070 is a missing authorization vulnerability in the TYPO3 Extension "Analytics". The AJAX routes in this extension do not verify whether a backend user has permission to access the associated module or dashboard widget. Technical Analysis

The TYPO3 Extension "Analytics" contains a missing authorization check (CWE-862) in its AJAX routes. These routes fail to confirm if a backend user is authorized to access the related analytics module or dashboard widget. Consequently, backend users who have page access rights can retrieve analytics data without proper authorization. This issue affects versions >=0 and <1.1.1 of the extension. There is no vendor advisory or patch information provided, and no known exploits in the wild have been reported.

Potential Impact

Unauthorized backend users with page access can retrieve analytics data for sites they can access, potentially exposing sensitive analytics information. The vulnerability does not allow privilege escalation or remote code execution but leaks data that should be restricted to authorized users only.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict backend user permissions to only those who require access to analytics data and monitor access controls carefully.
