Published: 10/20/2026 (10/20/2026, 09:30:46 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: TYPO3
Product: Extension "TYPO3 AI Integration Extension"

Description

The extension provides a backend endpoint that writes a submitted value into a submitted field of a submitted page record. It neither checks the user's permissions nor limits which fields can be changed. Any authenticated backend user can therefore change any property of any page, including its access permissions and configuration, outside the scope granted to them.

Technical Analysis

The TYPO3 AI Integration Extension exposes a backend endpoint that accepts submitted values to update fields in page records. However, it lacks authorization checks and field restrictions, enabling any authenticated backend user to alter any page property, including sensitive access permissions and configuration settings. This missing authorization (CWE-862) leads to privilege escalation risks within the TYPO3 backend environment.

Potential Impact

Authenticated backend users can escalate their privileges by modifying page properties and access controls beyond their assigned permissions. This can lead to unauthorized configuration changes, potential exposure of restricted content, and disruption of site integrity.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict backend user access to trusted personnel only and monitor for unauthorized changes to page records.
