Published: 10/19/2026 (10/19/2026, 13:55:15 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: langbot-app
Product: LangBot

Description

LangBot through 4.11.0 contains a missing authenticity verification vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to inject forged Lark/Feishu events by skipping signature checks. Attackers knowing a bot UUID can POST fabricated im.message.receive_v1 or card.action.trigger events to drive the LLM pipeline, tools, and approvals as other users.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-112265 describes a missing authenticity verification vulnerability in LangBot through version 4.11.0. The flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to inject forged Lark/Feishu events by skipping signature verification. Specifically, attackers who know a bot UUID can POST fabricated im.message.receive_v1 or card.action.trigger events. These forged events can drive internal processes such as the language model pipeline, tools, and approval workflows, impersonating other users within the system.

Potential Impact

An attacker can impersonate legitimate users by injecting forged events without authentication, potentially manipulating the language model pipeline and approval processes. This could lead to unauthorized actions being performed within LangBot, impacting the integrity and trustworthiness of automated workflows.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to bot UUIDs and monitor for suspicious POST requests attempting to inject forged events.
