Technical Analysis

FlyCms through commit edfdf724 in version 0 has a default credentials vulnerability. Attackers can remotely and unauthenticated log in as the super administrator using the hardcoded credentials 'flycms'/'admin123' after solving an image captcha at the /api/auth/login endpoint. This grants full administrative control over the application, including site content, user management, and configuration settings. The vulnerability is rated critical with a CVSS 4.0 score of 9.3.

Potential Impact

Unauthenticated remote attackers can gain super administrator privileges, allowing complete control over the FlyCms application, including modification of site content, user accounts, and configuration. This poses a critical risk to confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the affected system.

Mitigation Recommendations

No patch or official fix information is provided. Users should immediately change default credentials and disable or secure the affected login endpoint. Monitor vendor advisories for official remediation updates. Until a fix is available, restrict access to the login interface and enforce strong authentication mechanisms.
