Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-11318 is a privilege escalation vulnerability affecting Zuler Technology's DeskIn product through version 3.3.4.3. The vulnerability exists in the com.deskin.service.installer XPC service, which lacks authentication controls. Local attackers with limited privileges can connect to this root-owned service and invoke privileged installer methods to run arbitrary installer packages as root, thereby gaining full root access to the macOS system.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation allows a local unprivileged attacker to escalate privileges to root on the macOS host, resulting in complete system compromise. This could enable the attacker to execute arbitrary code with the highest system privileges.

Mitigation Recommendations

No patch or official fix information is provided in the available data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict local access to trusted users only and monitor for suspicious activity related to the com.deskin.service.installer service.
