Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: marmelab
Product: react-admin

Description

react-admin before 5.15.5 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows attackers to inject scripts by storing javascript: URIs in record fields rendered by UrlField and FileField. Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-113350 is a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in marmelab's react-admin prior to version 5.15.5. The vulnerability arises because UrlField and FileField components render URL-type backend fields without properly neutralizing javascript: URIs. Attackers who can influence these backend fields can embed malicious scripts that execute when an administrator interacts with the rendered links, potentially compromising the administrator's session.

Potential Impact

An attacker able to control URL-type fields can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the context of an administrator's authenticated session. This could lead to session hijacking or other malicious actions performed with the administrator's privileges. The CVSS 4.0 score is 5.1 (medium severity), reflecting the need for user interaction and limited scope of impact.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in react-admin version 5.15.5. Users should upgrade to version 5.15.5 or later to remediate this vulnerability. No additional mitigation steps are indicated in the advisory.
