AI-suggested

Upgrade the Media Library Assistant plugin to version 3.42 or later, where the CSRF nonce verification on the Empty Trash media action has been implemented. Applying this official fix fully mitigates the vulnerability.

Description

A Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability exists in the Media Library Assistant WordPress plugin before version 3.42. The flaw allows a logged-in user with Editor role or higher to be tricked into permanently deleting all trashed media attachments via a forged request. This occurs because the plugin does not verify a CSRF nonce on its Empty Trash media action.
