Description

Webstudio versions before 0.256.0 have an authorization bypass vulnerability that allows authenticated users to access other users' project data. Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-113596 is a missing authorization vulnerability in webstudio before version 0.256.0. Authenticated users can exploit this flaw by using the publishedBuilds and findManyByIds tRPC procedures to read project data belonging to other users if they know the target user's project UUID. The exposed data includes publish history, project titles, domains, preview images, and latest builds. This vulnerability arises from insufficient access control checks on these API endpoints.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows unauthorized disclosure of project data across users within the webstudio application. While exploitation requires authentication and knowledge of a target project UUID, it can lead to privacy breaches and information leakage of project metadata and build artifacts. The CVSS score of 2.3 indicates a low severity impact.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in webstudio version 0.256.0 and later. Users should upgrade to version 0.256.0 or higher to remediate this authorization bypass vulnerability. No other mitigation guidance is provided.
