CVE-2026-114070: Insufficiently Protected Credentials in triggerdotdev trigger.dev
Description
Trigger.dev versions 4.5.0 up to but not including 4.6.0 have an information disclosure vulnerability in the Dashboard Agent input proxy. This flaw allows attackers with access to a chat's public session token to read session input records and extract a delegated user-actor token. The exposed token can then be replayed to exchange for an environment JWT, potentially allowing unauthorized access. The vulnerability has a medium severity with a CVSS 4.0 score of 5.1.

Technical Analysis
CVE-2026-114070 describes an information disclosure vulnerability in trigger.dev versions >=4.5.0 and <4.6.0. The issue resides in the Dashboard Agent input proxy, which stores a delegated user-actor token in browser-readable session input records. An attacker possessing a chat's public session token can access the 'in records' endpoint and retrieve the token from payload.metadata.userActorToken. This token can then be replayed to perform an environment JWT exchange, potentially leading to unauthorized environment access.
Potential Impact
An attacker with a chat's public session token can read sensitive delegated user-actor tokens from session input records and replay them to obtain environment JWTs. This could lead to unauthorized access to environment resources or actions that the user-actor token permits. The vulnerability does not require privileges beyond possessing the public session token and has no known exploits in the wild as of the publication date.
Mitigation Recommendations
No explicit patch or remediation details are provided in the input data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to chat session tokens and monitor for unusual token replay activity. Avoid exposing delegated user-actor tokens in browser-readable session records.
