CVE-2026-114391: Incorrect Authorization in easysoft zentaopms
Description
ZenTao PMS versions before 22.3 have an authorization bypass vulnerability in the commonModel::isOpenMethod() function. This flaw allows logged-in users to bypass group-based access control checks for any method containing 'ajax'. As a result, users with minimal privileges can invoke sensitive methods to read data, obtain database credentials, trigger continuous integration jobs, and modify database tables.

Technical Analysis
CVE-2026-114391 is an authorization bypass vulnerability in easysoft's ZenTao PMS prior to version 22.3. The vulnerability exists in the commonModel::isOpenMethod() function, which incorrectly allows logged-in users to skip group-based ACL checks for methods containing the substring 'ajax'. Exploiting this, attackers with minimal privileges can call methods such as task.ajaxGetByID, system.ajaxDBAuthUrl, and admin.ajaxChangeTableEngine to perform unauthorized actions including data reading, database credential disclosure, triggering CI jobs, and altering database tables.
Potential Impact
The vulnerability enables privilege escalation within ZenTao PMS by allowing minimal-privilege authenticated users to bypass access controls and execute sensitive operations. This can lead to unauthorized data disclosure, compromise of database credentials, unauthorized triggering of CI jobs, and unauthorized modification of database tables, potentially impacting the integrity and confidentiality of the system.
Mitigation Recommendations
A fix is available in ZenTao PMS version 22.3. Users should upgrade to version 22.3 or later to remediate this authorization bypass vulnerability. Until upgraded, restrict access to the application to trusted users only and monitor for suspicious activity related to 'ajax' method calls.
