Description

CVE-2026-114662 is a high-severity authentication bypass vulnerability in obot-platform's obot product before version 0.26.0. It allows unauthenticated attackers to steal API keys by exploiting the CLI login flow via a crafted token request. Attackers can create a token request, send the login link to a signed-in user, and then retrieve a non-expiring API key to take over the victim's account.

Technical Analysis

Obot versions prior to 0.26.0 contain an authentication bypass vulnerability in the CLI login flow. This flaw enables unauthenticated attackers to steal API keys by selecting token request IDs. The attack involves creating a token request through a POST request to /api/token-request, sending the login link to a signed-in user, and then fetching the resulting non-expiring API key. This allows the attacker to assume control of the victim's account.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation leads to account takeover by unauthorized actors through theft of non-expiring API keys. This compromises the confidentiality and integrity of the victim's account and any associated resources accessible via the API key.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in obot version 0.26.0 and later. Users should upgrade to version 0.26.0 or newer to remediate this vulnerability. No vendor advisory content was provided, but the affectedVersions field and CVE description confirm the fix in 0.26.0.
