AI-suggested

Upgrade the User Frontend WordPress plugin to version 4.3.14 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. No other mitigation is required as the fix properly sanitizes and escapes user inputs in the AJAX response.

Description

A reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the User Frontend WordPress plugin before version 4.3.14. The flaw arises because some user-supplied values are not properly sanitized or escaped before being included in HTML attributes in an AJAX response accessible publicly. The vulnerable AJAX action is protected by a nonce that only validates requests from logged-out users, meaning the XSS payload executes against unauthenticated visitors rather than logged-in users. A fix is available in version 4.3.14.
