Published: 10/22/2026 (10/22/2026, 12:31:17 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: riclolsen
Product: json-scada

Description

JSON-SCADA versions before 0.65-alpha contain an SQL injection vulnerability in the opcApi() function within src/server_realtime_auth/index.js. This flaw allows authenticated users to inject SQL commands via HistoryReadRequest parameters, specifically through NodeId.Id, StartTime, or EndTime fields. Exploitation can lead to unauthorized reading, modification, or deletion of historian data across all locations regardless of user role.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-115328 describes an SQL injection vulnerability in JSON-SCADA prior to version 0.65-alpha. The vulnerability exists in the opcApi() function where insufficient neutralization of special elements in SQL commands allows authenticated users to inject stacked SQL statements via HistoryReadRequest parameters (NodeId.Id, StartTime, EndTime). This enables attackers to manipulate historian data across all locations without role restrictions.

Potential Impact

An attacker with authenticated access can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary SQL commands, potentially reading, modifying, or deleting critical historian data across all locations. This compromises data integrity and confidentiality within the JSON-SCADA system.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict authenticated user access to trusted personnel only and monitor for suspicious activity related to HistoryReadRequest parameters.
