Until a fix is available, restrict host access within the installation to trusted users only and monitor for unauthorized access to sensitive files related to certificate rotation.

Description

CVE-2026-115707 is a vulnerability in Elastic Cloud Enterprise (ECE) where sensitive information is inserted into externally accessible files or directories. This occurs after the ECE certificate rotation procedure, leaving platform credentials and certificate authority private keys accessible to lower-privileged components. An attacker with control over any host in the installation can exploit this to gain full control over the ECE control plane and managed deployments.
