AI-suggested

A fix is available in rclone version 1.75.2. Users should upgrade to version 1.75.2 or later to remediate this vulnerability. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patch.

Description

Rclone versions before 1.75.2 have a path traversal vulnerability in the serve webdav feature. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to write files outside the intended served root directory by using unvalidated '..' path components. Exploitation involves sending MKCOL /.. requests to create virtual filesystem nodes, followed by PUT, MOVE, COPY, or MKCOL operations to manipulate files belonging to other tenants.
