Until a fix is available, administrators should be cautious about trusting feed endpoints and consider additional validation or filtering outside of misp-guard for HTTP 2xx responses other than 200.

Description

CVE-2026-116372 is an improper input validation vulnerability in the MISP misp-guard security filtering proxy. The vulnerability arises because misp-guard only explicitly filters HTTP 200 responses, allowing other 2xx status codes like 201, 203, and 206 to bypass filtering. This enables a malicious or compromised feed endpoint to deliver unfiltered, potentially malicious content to the MISP instance. Exploitation requires control over a configured feed endpoint, with no additional authentication or user interaction needed.
