Description

CVE-2026-116568 is an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in FreeSWITCH's mod_rtmp module prior to version 1.11.2. The flaw occurs because the function rtmp_rtmp2rtpH264() trusts the length prefix of inbound H.264 NAL units without verifying it against the remaining bytes in the RTMP message. This can cause the parser to read beyond its buffer, potentially crashing the FreeSWITCH process and terminating active calls. Exploitation requires a remote client to place a video call session, which typically requires directory login with auth-calls enabled. The issue does not allow memory writes or disclosure. The vulnerability is fixed in FreeSWITCH version 1.11.2.
