Users should restrict contributor-level access and monitor for updates from the vendor. Since the vulnerability requires authenticated access, limiting user privileges can reduce risk.

Description

The VikRentCar Car Rental Management System WordPress plugin is vulnerable to blind SQL Injection via the 'catid' parameter in versions up to and including 1.4.10. Authenticated users with contributor-level access can exploit this flaw by injecting SQL queries through malicious blocks stored via the REST API and triggered during post preview. This vulnerability allows extraction of sensitive database information without user interaction. The vulnerability arises from insufficient escaping and lack of proper query preparation.
