Since exploitation requires local administrative privileges and standard configurations do not expose the vulnerable scripts to untrusted input, no immediate action is required for typical deployments. Users should ensure that deployment workflows do not accept untrusted input and restrict local administrative access to trusted personnel only.
Description
CVE-2026-116958 is a vulnerability in konflux-ci that allows arbitrary code execution due to improper quoting of shell variables in deployment scripts. A local attacker with the ability to supply arguments to these scripts could exploit this flaw to execute commands with the privileges of the deployment runner. However, exploitation requires local administrative privileges and the flaw cannot be triggered remotely or without existing privileged access. Standard configurations do not expose this vulnerability to untrusted input.
