Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-11772 describes a reflected XSS vulnerability (CWE-79) in DRIMO CMS. The vulnerability is triggered through the 'q' parameter in the search functionality, enabling arbitrary JavaScript execution in the context of the victim's browser upon opening a maliciously crafted URL. The product is no longer maintained and will not receive patches. The vendor or advisory suggests deleting the info.php file as a mitigation measure.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation allows an attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript code in the victim's browser, which can lead to session hijacking, defacement, or other client-side attacks. Since the product is unmaintained, no official patch is available, increasing the risk for users who continue to operate the vulnerable software.

Mitigation Recommendations

No official patch or update is available due to the product's End Of Life status. The recommended mitigation is to delete the info.php file, which mitigates the vulnerability. Users should apply this mitigation to reduce risk.
