AI-suggested

Site administrators should consider disabling or restricting the LearnPress – Course Review plugin until a fix is available. Implementing manual moderation of reviews can prevent immediate exploitation by requiring administrator approval before malicious scripts execute. Monitor vendor advisories for updates and apply patches promptly once released.

Description

The LearnPress – Course Review plugin for WordPress contains a stored DOM-based cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the 'review_title' parameter affecting all versions up to and including 4.2.2. Authenticated users with subscriber-level access or higher can inject malicious scripts that execute when the injected review is viewed. Execution of the payload requires administrator approval of the review unless the site is configured to auto-approve comments, which bypasses manual moderation.
