Description

A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the Joinchat WordPress plugin versions 6.3.2 up to but not including 6.4.2. The plugin fails to properly escape the message of its button block before outputting it in an HTML attribute on the front end. This flaw allows users with Author role or higher to inject malicious scripts that execute in the browsers of visitors, including administrators. The issue is fixed in version 6.4.2.
