Users should exercise caution when handling untrusted SHAP explainer models or related files and avoid interacting with suspicious content. Monitor vendor advisories for updates and patches addressing this vulnerability.
Description
CVE-2026-118627 is a high-severity vulnerability in MLflow version 3.11.2.dev0 involving deserialization of untrusted data in the SHAP explainer model loading functionality. This flaw allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code if a user interacts with malicious content, such as visiting a crafted page or opening a malicious file. The vulnerability arises from improper validation of user-supplied data during deserialization, enabling code execution in the context of the current user.
