Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-11867 is a missing authorization vulnerability (CWE-862) in the Frontend Admin by DynamiApps WordPress plugin prior to version 3.29.7. The plugin does not verify user capabilities when performing taxonomy term creation, modification, and deletion. As a result, low-privileged authenticated users can manipulate taxonomy terms without proper permissions. There is no CVSS score or vendor advisory detailing remediation or patch availability at this time.

Potential Impact

Authenticated users with minimal privileges can create, rename, or delete taxonomy terms arbitrarily. This could lead to unauthorized content categorization changes, potential content management disruption, or other integrity issues within the WordPress site taxonomy structure. There is no evidence of known exploits in the wild.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is released, restrict user roles and capabilities to trusted users only and monitor for unauthorized taxonomy term changes if possible.
