AI-suggested

Upgrade Botan to version 3.13.0 or later, where the signature verification on OCSP responses in the ocsp_check command is properly implemented. No other mitigations are indicated or necessary as the issue is fixed in this release.

Description

Botan versions from 1.11.34 up to but not including 3.13.0 have a vulnerability in the botan ocsp_check command-line tool where OCSP responses are accepted without verifying the signature or authorizing the signer. This allows a malicious or on-path attacker to provide a forged OCSP response indicating a revoked certificate is valid. The issue is fixed in version 3.13.0.
