AI-suggested

The bulletin does not provide explicit patch or remediation details. Since affected versions are identified, users should consult the official AWS Security Bulletin for updates and apply any official fixes once available. If possible, disabling queue sets or avoiding MPU-enabled builds may mitigate exposure until a fix is applied.

Description

CVE-2026-119086 is a vulnerability in FreeRTOS-Kernel affecting MPU-enabled builds with queue sets enabled. The flaw arises because the queue-set selection path does not fully validate that the referenced kernel object is a queue set before operating on it. This can allow an unprivileged task to cause the kernel to write beyond the intended destination while running in privileged context, potentially compromising the integrity of privileged execution. Applications built without queue sets are not affected.
