AI-suggested

Upgrade MariaDB Connector/J to versions 3.3.7, 3.4.5, or 3.5.11 or later where the vulnerability is fixed. Alternatively, disable the allowLocalInfile option to prevent the connector from processing LOCAL INFILE requests. No other mitigations are indicated by the vendor advisory.

Description

MariaDB Connector/J versions from 3.0.0 up to but not including 3.3.7, 3.4.5, and 3.5.11 contain an improper input validation vulnerability in the ClientMessage.validateLocalFileName() method. This flaw allows a malicious or compromised server, or a man-in-the-middle attacker, to trick the connector into streaming arbitrary readable client-host files when allowLocalInfile is enabled. The issue is fixed in versions 3.3.7, 3.4.5, and 3.5.11.
