AI-suggested

Upgrade Wekan to version 11.11 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. No other mitigation is required as the fix addresses the root cause by properly handling regular expression input.

Description

Wekan versions prior to 11.11 contain a vulnerability where user-controlled input is passed to regular expressions without escaping, leading to inefficient regular expression complexity. This allows authenticated users with board membership or site-admin status to craft expressions that cause catastrophic backtracking, consuming excessive database CPU and potentially causing denial of service. The issue is fixed in version 11.11.
