AI-suggested

Users should monitor vendor advisories for updates. Until a fix is available, restrict site editor privileges to trusted users only and consider additional access controls or monitoring to detect misuse of the traffic_change_notification endpoint.

Description

Plausible Analytics versions up to 3.2.1 have a mass assignment vulnerability in the update_traffic_change_notification feature. Authenticated site editors can exploit this flaw by modifying the site_id parameter in traffic_change_notification to access traffic alerts and visitor data of other sites. This allows unauthorized viewing of sensitive site traffic information.
